car wont start
hello my 67 camaro wont turn over at all. It makes no noise but the dome light comes on. I just got a new battery and that doesn't seem to help. anything I can check. fuses look goood. thanks for any help adam
I need alittle more background on the symptoms ie: when did they begin and any other corrective measures you have taken to fix them is the dome light the only thing working? Although, from what you described it sounds like a primary start circuit problem. Start by checking the batt it may be defective, even new one's can be bad, then elec connections at batt and starter make sure starter signal wire is intact and that all fusible links, if any, are still good you have to check closely the casing dose'nt always burn through. I'm a second gen owner, mine has fusible links connected to the starters batt terminal, I fried all of them once, it shut the car down. use a volt ohm meter(or testlight) to check for voltage at all related connections. make sure ground strap is intact and hooked up, you need the engine grounded to the body and the battery. The ground strap should be connected between the firewall and the cyl. head. hope this helps, good luck.
