Camaro 2012 Rattle / Metal Noise during Idle when in Drive or Reverse position
Hey guys!
I'm new here! I've decided to register because I have a problem with my Chevy... I have a 45th Anniversary Edition Chevy Camaro 2012 with V6 Engine. The problem is that I can hear some rattle / metal noise / grinding - I don't know how to call it - a few seconds after I should my transmission to Drive or Reverse position during idle or driving. The sound appears only during the first 30 seconds after shifting to Drive or Reverse position. Later, it doesn't appear even when I drive for a few hours. The sound never appears when I start the engine and the transmission in in the Park or Neutral position. The sound appears only after shifting to Drive or Reverse position. It doesn't matter if I start driving immediately or I stay in one place and put my foot on the brake pedal. It just appears randomly during the first 30 seconds. Sometimes it's longer, sometimes shorter, there's no rule.
I've recorded a short Youtube video so that you can hear the noise. It sounds like it comes from the front end but I'm not sure. Does it sound familiar to you? Have any of you experienced the same problem? Do you know what it may be?
I can't go to the dealer with this issue as I'm in Europe in Poland and I imported my car from the USA. Here in my area we don't really have Chevy dealers that can take care of my Camaro.
Please help!
Cheers guys,
Jakob
