So a guy I work with is trying to recharge the air conditioner on his 99 malibu. its got a port front and center.... but apparently this is the "high port" and the can fits the "low port" which is located beneath the belts and is ridiculously hard to get to.

can he just buy a different adapter and fill it from the top port?

 

i believe youre supposed to fill it from the low port,thats what i was told last night by a tech,but i could be wrong...
