Blower motor noise
I have tried the search function and nothin so hear it goes,I ahve an 80 rs and when i turn on teh blower its makes this terrible grinding noise im pretty sure its toast but any reason this happened cause i dont want to go through the pain of replacing if its just gonna happen again.If this is a dumb quetion sorry i dont know crap about american cars

Do you mean when you turn on the heat?
I had a buddy have something similar to him. his heater core went out. made a god-aweful noise when he turned it on. autozone sold him a new one pretty cheap. these things can go out eventually. your car is pretty old. i wouldnt attribute it to anything other than happenstance

Just plain, old age can make sounds appear that once weren't there. Just ask my wife after I have a couple bowls of chili.
Seriously though, if it sounds like a whining, grinding noise, it's probably due to a bad bearing in the blower motor. It is an electric motor after all, and they don't last forever.
If it sounds more like a loud "playing cards in the bicycle spokes" (yes we did that as kids), then it's possible you could have leaves or a stick stuck in the fan's squirrel cage blades.
Either way, you need to go digging after the fan.
