About Nitrous
I have a top shot kit to put on my car and I was wondering if every one that uses nitrous do you retard the motor before shooting it. Everyone i talked to said that you need to retard the motor?
Yes, if you want the engine to stay toghether. If the kit is for your particular car, it should have provisions to retard timing and increase fuel delivery. If not, then you have to do it on your own.
[&:] aaahhhhh one hit for the driver one hit for the motor explosives in a bottle neet stuff but WILL grenade things if you dont educate yourself on its use. i have used the smallest HP levels in some situations without having to mess with timing much, however some form of timing retard will be needed for most applications especially the mid to high HP ones if you want to keep the engine internals on the inside for any length of time. engine should be built with nitrous use in mind( forged crank and pistons etc) dont expect stock motors and anything but the smallest shot levels to play well togather for very long kurt
