i cant post too much at once so i will make a lot of posts about the problem

 

car: 1997 camaro factory security system, brand new starter

 

when i try to start the car all the dash lights and radio light up and work fine

 

engine will not turn over, security light is staying on.

 

i am thinking it could possibly be the ignition switch or the security system. any ideas?

 

car will start every once in a while, about 1 in every 10 tries over a period of time.

 

i do not have a spare key to see if its the chip on the key, is there anyway to disable the theft system (thing that locks out the fuelpump when wrong/messed up key is used) so i can see if its the anti theft system or the ignition switch causing the problem? maybe? or any other ideas? thx

 

no one has any ideas what the problem could be?

also any ideas how i could start it once so i can drive it to the chevydealer?
