i just bought a 95 Z28 and the air conditioning dosnt work. what are the proper steps that i should do to see whats wrong with it? i have no idea if its leaking or if there is something else wrong. ive never done an a/c so where should i start?

 

I would start by checking any fuses and relays for the AC in the fuse panels and under the hood, then check to see if the wiring harness is plugged into the compressor. If all that is good, get a gauge or take it to a place that can check and see what the pressure is on system. There are safety switches that will prevent the compressor from operating if the coolant charge is too low.

 

have it scanned for trouble codes, a good scanner will show the a/c codes.
