does anyone know of a scanner and where i can get it, that does OBD1?

Go on the web and search for AutoXray or Actron. They make a decent scanner for the DIY people for about $250-$300. Make sure you ask for a scanner not a code reader. You can also go on the web and search for "scantool". I was able to get a used professional grade ODB1 scantool (OTC brand) for $210, about $1200 new. Just make sure you read the description and that it is complete with all the cables. Ford, GM, and Chrysler use differnt connectors.

well i brought it to a shop and the mechanic confirmed that it was a faulty egr. my 3rd valve wasnt opening. so i went ahead and got it all fixed. and now its running great on the freeway. its nice being able to drive on the freeway again. camaros are so fun to drive. why drive anything else? ha esp. a rustang.
