Anyone have any experience with Performance Automotive and Transmission Center?? I finally have no choice but to replace my transmission and really need an overdrive final ratio. I drove the car to a show Labor Day and at 60 mph the motor is turning 3000rpm. I have a friend who will give me a 700R4 to rebuild. PATC has a "mega raptor" kit which includes all internals, hardened input and output shafts, heavy duty bands, etc. I don't want to go to a turbo 400 due to the weight and horsepower loss through that transmission. The car is a '67 Camaro, 468 cubic inch roller motor, posi. rear end with 3.73 gearing. Any advice would be appreciated.
