Default 400 with 350 cam?

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this setup. It was recommended to me by a friend. You take a small block 400 and replace the cam with a modified 350 cam (might be a bit more work than that) and I think that makes it a 377. I was wondering what kind of power I could expect with that setup. I am seriously thinking about doing it but would like some other input also.

D'you mean the cam, or the crank? The camshaft doesn't affect the displacement of the engine, after all.

^agree. u would change the crank. if i remember right it would shorten the stroke, make a little less torque but turn more rpm.

Yeah it was the crank then. I always get them confused, possibly because I know nothing about either one.
