My IROC Z28 with a 5.7L 350 is needing a little love. It started making a rattle noise in the rear end, so I popped the pumpkin and its toast. I've always wanted a posi in it and no better time than now. My question is what are my options in model yearsand sizes. I've been told that most rear ends will fit but need a little more detail and an opinion into what I should get.

 

Any 3rd gen rear will fit (10-bolt or 9-bolt). The problem is finding one in the gear ratio you want and the G80 (RPO) limited slip. 4th gen rears will also work, but the housing is 4"wider overall. You will just have to search for one.
