I just bout a 2001 SS with the 6spd it has the 3:42 gear and I'm thinking bout a 3:73 or 4:11 I'm just not happy with the take off form a stop my brother had a 02 SS stock that would spin all of 1st & 2nd with out dumping the clutch mine will just spin a few feet and bark 2nd it's not what I'm use to from driving my brothers car thinking his might of came with a 3:73

 

Keep in mind if you are spinning you aren't going anywhere which is not generally the name of the game. But since you have a 6 speed you could go with 4.11's and still be able to drive down the interstate if you need to.
