thinking about a cam...
hey guys i was thinking about getting a performance cam and i wanted to see if you guys had any ideas as to the brand or the specs or anything like that....also. how would i know if i have a dohc or a sohc?
its pretty much universal. make sure u have an aftermarket intake, headers, and exhaust system, then do whatever cam u waht.
but u gotta remember, the cam makes ur engine breathe deeper during both intake and exhaust for all cylendars. if ur boltons arent up to snuff ur wasting money. try running a few laps at a track and then breathing through a McDonald's stray, thats what ur motor feels like with a cam and stock intake/manifolds.

ive got a high flow edelbrock intake manifold and i plan on puttin a set of headers and a new exhaust system before i put the cam in...do you know what specs would work best with this size motor? i found an edelbrock cam with a lift duration of296/ 300, and a lift of .539/ .548....do you think that would be good?
