Default 01 Camaro clutch problems

i have a 2001 camaro ss been through 3 clutches a DF center-force a spec 3 and now a spec 3 +.I know the first thing going though your head ,i have always driven a clutch sens i have been driving, but what could cause this problem? and in my search for a new clutch i have been looking at different brands but i am confused about the difference in a clutch that is say by ram that is for an 01 camaro 11" 1 1/8 X 26 and one that is just for a gm with the same specs as far as size goes. The car has miner mods.

well the only way clutch material wears is when its slipping, clutch engagement-disengagement unless your one of those that like to hold small hills at a stop light with the clutch. clutches should last 75 - 100 k depending on a few factors and since youve gone thru several clutches one must consider the loose nut behind the wheel ( or the driver) and or incorrect parts. i cant imagine there being too many options for clutch parts for your model but there may be some difference for the ss or another tranny option that came the following year or a 1le option something like that. i think you need to look at how you use the clutch as i find it hard to believe it a pressure plate or disc problem, barring incorrect parts kurt

well i dont ride the clutch i never had a problem with any of my other cars clutches and they had over 100k on them i know they have to add a shim of some sort behind the slave cylander to shim it closer to the clutch but i have calld the manufactuer and they say it is needed but the stock cluch never had that the only reason i got rid of stock clutch is because i broke 5th gear some how ,don't ask me,and the dealer had to take the trany out any way so itsaved me about $450 but that goes to show there have been ishues with the tranny befor
