It's not shifting because I'm guessing you didn't get it tuned after you got the heads and cam. So your computer won't shift faster now that it has more power and speed. You should send it in to www.pcmforless.com and have them do it. Cheapest and best way, unless you have a dyno somewhere close?

For the kind of power you have, which is a lot, you should be well into the 11s. Some people are in the 9s with heads/cam and stock bottom end. You should get some stickier tyres. I'm getting 2.0 60' stock with street tyres, you should be getting a bit lower. You should also have a stronger rear end to deal with launching all that power.

Your shifting problem is probably the trans freaking out because your sending 500+ HP through it on a stock tune. I would recommend a dyno tune.

the car is tuned altho im gonna get it retuned cuz the tune on it right now sucks, i think it might be the lever arm in the trans

Well yeah, but you should still be doing better than 12.2 w/ heads & Cam LS1.
