ppl i owned a 99 grand am gt and it had a 3.4 and i smoked alot of lt1 camaros with that 6 banger. so if u ask me a 3.4 grand am gt and a camaro 6cyl raced id put my money on the gt.

its called "father son project" dont be mad cuz your stuck with a v6. yes my dad bought my first car when i was 14, but the 30+ cars ive owned since have been on my nickel.

 

both motors are made by chevy, the camaro previously had a 3.4 and upgraded to a 3.8 which is actually more powerful than the 3.8 that came in ur wbody cousin. the lt1 owners didnt know u were racing, or were too busy laughing at someone reving in a grand am. use ur head, i mean.... come on [>:]

I LOVE my v6, soo much that I'm actually considering making it a project car instead of looking for a LS1 this summer.
Did daddy not give you emotional love when he worked on "your" project car and you sat back and watched?
I got lucky, I am not spoiled, I pay for gas/insurance on my summer jobs.

Anyway, sorry. The update today from my deaf buddy was that it was a swapped v8 4.0L... Any engines that come to mind to fit in that Grand AM?
I waited for him after school but he never showed up, lol.

 

the brand new grand prix has a v8 in the GTP model. u should go look at the car urself rather than hear about it from ur buddy. I heard the guy ur talking about has a TT 2jz swapped in, with rotary pistons
