ok im pulling out of the local tractor supply and i know theres this neon following me... i didnt know it was a turbo(stage 2)srt-4 until he smashed on it, and met up with him later. anyway, i guess he thought he had something, but me burning him (badly) is beside the point. we came to the next light, preparing to go again when my detector goes off. i gave him the "cut-throat" to not go. no farther than 30 seconds up the straightaway, there sat a maryland state trooper behind a dunhams working radar. its not that he couldve given me a speeding ticket that made me realize how lucky i was to have one of these beautiful devices, but he couldve gotten me for streetracing. that is automatic liscense: GONE. i think i owe Cobra my life now. anyone who doesnt have one should honestly consider buying one. im just tryin to help any fellow GM enthusiasts, or anyone for that matter, with any kind of streetracing. it saved my butt and it could save yours too.

yea we did.... actually the next day. i dont even know why this kid thinks he can beat a Z28. i showed him from a dead stop, 20 roll and 40 roll that he shouldnt mess with camaros. lol o well some ppl just never learn

 

Radar detectors are awesome. Did you know nextel two way signals also **** up a cops' radars. What model do you have cuz mine never warns me of a cop and it always goes off when there isn't one.

 

i have a Cobra 11 Band with 360 Laser detection... its not the most expensive thing in the world (~$100), but it goes nuts if a cop rides by working radar, so i guess it'll do...

 

my cobra also picks up security systems like in banks and stuff too, maybe thats why yours goes off? i get an "X" alert from things like that... it all depends on what kind you have

 

I had the same one lol. I ended up just selling it on ebay. I don't know if it was just mine or what cuz you're not the only one that has saved their ***.

If I were to get a radar detector and say I was gonna install it... under my dashmat to try and hide it... would it loose functionality? (sp)
