its just as bad for your car as it is for his. some ppl will do a thousand burnouts no problem and some may do 1 and get screwed. it all depends on how beat your car is. cars are meant for driving point a-b if you race it or mess around your taking a risk.

I say cheat if you just want to do a smoke show for a video.
Put down some oil on the pavement and start on a slight incline.

 

use water not oil. think green when u can. kind of an oxymoron burning rubber and thinking green.

 

burnouts arnt good for any car as stated, as for the 6sp, Ive done it a lot on my white toy. You drop the clutch, and hold gas down and slam brake fast. Its easy as hell. Then as stated, feather the throttle, up down, the'll smoke reall good... here's a vid of my 74 doing a small burnout...
