96 V6 Braking Issues
I have a 96 v6 with 156,000 miles. I recently had my my brakes completely redone about 4,000 miles ago (new drums, rotors, pads, calipers etc.) Whenever it has been raining for a day or two, I have issues with my brakes being very sensitive. I went to move my car earlier today and I pressed the brake lightly and the car came to a screeching halt. I have had the same issue before I got my brakes redone. It usually goes away after I have stepped on the brake a few times but is kinda scary at first. Does anyone else have similar issues or know the cause of this?

You do realize that all cars with cast iron rotors get some rush on them when it rains? This will cause them to grab untill all the rust is knocked off. Normally the first time you stop going >15 miles per hour will pretty much clean off all the rust. Your car has done that since new. The only way to stop it is Stainless Steel rotors unless someone here knows how to keep cast iron from rusting? And before you say plate it, remember the rotor is a wear item.

^ I'll second that, for your own peace of mind. It's normal. Next time the car sits a day or two in a rain, look at your rotors, you'll see them looking rusty. They grab weird initially because of the coarseness of the rusty surface, but it quickly polishes off after a couple of stops. The rotors are bare metal sitting out in the elements, what else would you expect to happen?
