Last night was my 2nd time driving the car...I played with the Carb a bit and rejetted it, I went leaner in the front jets for drivability, and richened up the rears..

Car went 11.65@115.75 with a 1.70 60 ft..

not bad of a car, what rpm stall does it have? and how hard does it launch? does it squat and leave hard or does it roll out as it gets into the power?

Im not sure of the stall, somewhere around 3000-3500 perhaps? Got to ask my dad who put it in..I basically foot brake it to around 2700 and go, it sits back, hooks up and pulls the front end most of the way down the track..The suspension is set up so right, it feels like it will hook on a dirt road..lol

The car does make more power up top end and screams to 6700 rpms..weighs 3360 with me in it..Im 275..I do have a nitrous kit coming for it, planning on spraying for those "SPECIAL" occasions, after I get my 6 point installed with the harness..The stock seat belt feels like it will rip my throat open if I crash..

On a side note, how do these plugs look?

You think its rich? Looking at the white part of the plug, it seems like a sandy brown color..Think I should lean her out a bit?? The car did run about .2-.4 slower and 2-4 mph slower last night with the 82 degree weather..So that does makes sense to me..Ill try leaning out a bit next time..

I have made some changes to the car in the past few weeks.I was having an issue with the car throwing the belt after 4-5 passes down the strip, and recently found my alternator shaft was slightly bent. $35 for a new alternator fixed the issue and while I was there I replaced my Flex Fan with an electric thermostat controlled fan. This should free up a few ponies and be good for a tenth or two.

I also installed a 6 point roll cage in the car. I was not at the 11.49 ET that required one, however I am a big advocate of safety, and I did not feel safe wearing the stock seatbelt. In fact the stock seatbelt would sit right across my neck and most likely would do more harm than good if I crashed...

Plus the cage should make the frame a bit more rigid, and allow me to cut out some more metal from the car. Eventually I would like to minitub the car and get the exterior looking good..But thats down the road, right now Im just trying to get her consistant and win a few bracket races..

Oh, I also ditched the purple horny mufflers and went with a true muffler, as my local track would not let me run on muffled days with the old mufflers. $40 a piece for 3" Summit Racing mufflers, was well worth it, and the car has a much deeper sound..
