This has been debated for well over 3 months by me and freinds by now... what would win... A 96 Camaro RS 3.8 100,000 miles stock vs. a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon FX 60,000 miles wit: CAI, headers, exhaust?
I'm going with the Camaro, he is pushing probably (guessing here)170HP with his upgrades (140 stock), no idea what amount of torque, and a stock 3.8 pushes 200HP at5200RPMwith 225lb of torque at 4000RPM, the Camaro will easily pullon it from a roller, but from a stop, would depend on if the driver got traction.
I beg to differ. Not to put my v6 down or anything but assuming its a real race at the drags it would be really close. Stock camaro with 100,000miles loses power and against a lighter car with only 60,000miles they would be close. My friend has a 99 tiberon with those mods and a throttle body and his car can just about take mine. So i say in the drags, if he can get a good launch then your in for a good race!
