so me and some friends started running some late night 1/4 mile street drags, and last night i decided to put the good old bird up 3.4 firebird 5 speed. well none of us have sweet cars. all are stock we are pretty much just messing around for fun. so first night it was a chevy 1/2 ton with a 350 vs. a 03 saturn ion 4 dr. ion blew him out as expect and last night we ran 4 door ion vs 2 door ion very close maybe 12 inches win for the 2 door. well i was second on the list set to run against a v6 mercury sable well we get up top the line he says go we are side by side through first and second then i go to switch into third and totally missed the shift it was horrible so he pulled way out and left me in the dust

yeah it sucks to lose against a ford.i remember when i lost to a ford thunderbird in my 1995 camaro 3.4. but good run maybe if you didnt miss third gear you would have saty with him.
