I was wondering different methods of racing auto z28s? This is my first automatic car (first V8 as well) and I wanted to know the best way to launch and race an automatic z28 at a dragaway.

also - what can i expect to run in a 1/4 mile out of a 95 z28 with the mods listed in my signature...

 

Put it in OD and floor it. The computers knows exactly when to shift.

Well.

Hold down the break, rev it up to 2 grand, and go. If you don't spin, redo it, and revit up to 2500. If you still don't spin, then repeat.

Shifting in an auto is worthless.

Yes keep traction contol off,yes it's that easy.

 

not true, if u shift it ur self u can stay in the gear longer to get more out of it.

 

make sure u dont do a nuetral drop, that will f*ck up ur trans.

 

thats why Hurst has the auto slap shifters.

 

As long as I can remember, I was told to let the computer auto shift it.
