Default how to launch, and race my camaro

never raced this one so i dont know. but what rpm should i launch at when racing my 01 ss auto with nitto dr at the track.when exactly should i shift at the redline or b4? and does anyone know the fastest speed you can go in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear with an auto. just wondering?

go on some highways no one travels on and practice launching and shifting and getting used to your car....it will eventually come to you

With an auto just put it in "D" and let it shift itself. A computor controled trans (like yours) will shift when it needs to. As far as launch RPM that will depend on how well the track is hooking on a givin day. I try and leave at at least 1500 rpm or higher if the tires track will support it.
