when i was on my old crappy tires i could push it to about 2500. but after launch it would fishtail really bad. with my new tires and some practice she lunches very well. what size tires are you running? I have 245/50-16 and they do a pretty good job.

How new are they? My old tires were michilen Pilot XGTs and they were great tires, I just had very little tread left. I raced a guy from a dig with an arm drop & he took me off the line becuase i was spinning all the way threw 1st. (after I got traction I won) After I put my new tires on I luanched and found the sweet spot where I can luanch and let the tires scream but not really spin. It depends where your racing too. A few days after that I went to the track and off the line the tires hooked very well, no spin and no long scretching.

I guess the key is practice. Find a deserted street back somwhere near you live. (make sure its a strait line and you can see behind u & infront of you all the way down the street) Then just try launching her at 2K. If it hooks good, go up to 3K. If it spins to much go down to 2500...etc

I had some sumitomo 9.5" rears so I could hold mine up past 2K and let it go, they'd chirp a bit and get traction VERY good

I don't how you all get that much tire spin. My back tires have maybe 1/4 tread left on them and no matter where I launch from 0rpm or 2000rpm, I get little to no tire spin. My car's not running like it did but I never got that much spin. Weird.

there is a trick to power brakes. You put it in neurual then press the brake pedal all the way to the floor. Then rev it up to 3K-4K rpms really quick and you should be able to press the brakes in even farther. after you let the RPMs fall back to idol (It should on take a second or 2) shift into drive and then try your launch.
