Default From Drag to Street

I just purchased a 67 SS/RS that has been a drag car for some time. I plan on turning it into a street car. It is set up with slicks,33' tall on 15' weld rims and skinnies on the front. It also has two batteries in the trunk with no alternator. I am curious on how to take the best actions to get it wired up efficiently with an alternator, and get street radials on the back for now...or complete change out of wheels and tires to allow it to set lower and tuck the rear wheels. It is set up with a Dana 60 and QA1 coilovers that will drop it low, it is tubbed out with 16' wide tires on it now. How do I negotiate the wheel size to get to tuck the rear wheel? Anyone with experience on this matter please help! I have an electric guy to do the wiring for signals, alternator, but need help with wheel selection. I am looking for pro street look with an really nice FOOSE wheel preferably 20' on back with at least 18' on the front. Thanks for your help and any other advice about the 67 send it my way!

The biggest issue is going to be with how you handle the back end of the car. Are you trying to get considerably smaller tires back in the rear? With it being tubbed, and able to get 16" wide wheels on it now, your rearend is obviously narrowed, and the frame would be notched radically. You would have to do some re-fabbing to bolt a stock full width rearend back in there, if that's the plan. Is making it a pro-street car with some slightly down-sized but still wide street tires a consideration?
If all the original wiring for the charging system has been ripped out, then the easiest way for wiring an alternator would be with a one-wire.
