Default Did I do this right?

I tried doing my take off on some deserted road ( I don't have any tracks nearby). I know you guys said around 2-2.5k and dropping the clutch would be about right for street tires.

So I did it at 2.5 and spun like crazy, then I did it at 2 and, basically, what happened is (and this is where i need to know your opinion) my car jerked when I dropped the clutch, I didn't move or spin out. Then at that point I floored the gas pedal and took off.

Did I do that right? Was I supposed to be moving right off the bat? Or should I have had some wheel spin or anything?

you should be flooring it about the same time as you dump the clutch. otherwise it bogs down and u lose time.

get new tires lol

instead of dumping the clutch, try slipping the clutch a little bit

Haha it's winter guys it's winter. Okay so dump and then go, I was afraid I'd peel out if I did that.

Really you want a smooth fast clutch release combined with a smooth fast pressing of the gas. Act as if you were taking off normally, just speed it up. It will take some practice, but it's going to get you the best launch once you get it fast.

Hmm.. Ive heard of that but I heard it was harder on your clutch to do that then it was on your drivetrain to just dump it. But maybe i'll try that next time.
