Default Automatic Trannys

I have a ? about automatic transmissions,

When i race at the track I pull first and second hard, but third seems kind of weak, i know that it shifts to a bad spot in the powerband, exactly what rpm i cant say because im looking up

is there any way that i would be able to change this or compensate for it?

thanks

What rear gear do You have? What MPH and what RPM does it cross the finish line? What about Converter stall speed? Hou much does the car weigh and what ET does it run? All of these factors can affect the high gear transition. If its geared soft, weighs alot, has too loose converter etc. the shift will feel soft. It might have a bad band or bad high gear clutches but I don't think so.
