97 ss vs 350z
APS twin turbo, fully built eng. etc etc Turbos are tucked under back of the Eng you can't see them from the top view. No NOS or Meth, but Meth might be added next year still undecided.

Why do you come on camaroforums and talk **** to members. Yes a 350z is a decent car, but I walked my friend in his 05 auto z. My car has cai and a cutout only. Please stop.
Wow have I never seen such a false accusation. Haha, I have a question 'smasher', do you own a 350z?? If so, have you got beaten by a Cobalt SS, because it seems like they have claimed you once before and that is the same attitude that Z owners have when all they see is taillights of a 'cavalier'.
And Spec, I never said that it wasn't a match for a lt1. This idiot thinks it runs with LS1s. All those pretty multicolor times that were 'verified' mean nothing to me. And I have proof because I race these 'fast' 350z at the track and beat them constantly.... No matter what year, they still are a 14 second car. And they do have great handling but drag race is not their strength.

I just ran a 13.930 @ 104.95 2.225 60' 2nd week driving a manual.
Don't talk about cars if you don't know anything about them, 07 and 08 were totally different monsters compared to 03-06. Stock for Stock it's a good run with an ls1.
Stock LT1 vs HR 350 (07-08) ? lmao... bus lengths
Oh and... Cobalt SS's have zero chance against an 07-08 Z... I saw one just put down 198 whp, lol cmon now.
If you can drive at all it should be yours. Those z's are overrated. They run 11 sec 1/8's @ about 65 mph. You should be around 75-79 and low to mid 9's 1/8 with a 2.2-2.3 60'. Manuals are harder to drive so practice launch. If you are spinning, launch at a lower rpm. I'm not saying I have seen a lot of z's at track, but never seen one run under a 10, we only have 1/8. Of course you could put $10k in the z and it would scream, put $10k in camaro it will still be faster. It really boils down to who has more money as either can be made to outrun the other, but the camaro is and always will be a better drag race platform. I got about $10k including cost of car in mine wonder how much smasher has in his. I don't know how much power as I'm more into et and mph, but I will be running 10's 1/4 all MOTOR come spring. And I have taken 3 500+ mile trips in it thus far so forget the it's not street able bs. Already running 95-97 at 3700+# ( on 400+ treadware street tires) in 1/8 without all the work being done right now including full ptfb suspension, intake, weight reduction, stall, electric fans, and slicks. Will have about 14k in it by jan, but still a lot less $$$ I bet. I think it's funny that they come over here when they spend about 40k on one to make it fast and try to talk s#^t. I bet my 200 hp smallblock (that's how it's supposed to be done) would give that tt z one hell of a run smasher and I can drive it 3,000 miles if needed. Just to be fair I won't spend over $500 on a cheap nos kit if I need it. After all it should be power adder to power adder right? I realize 30 year old technology is scary, but what do you say wanna go? It's just a little smallblock with a little torque. If you win I won't be upset bc you should, but I have surprised every one I ever pulled up by including a few turbo v8's and a supercharged 6.0ls in an 06 or so gto. Not saying I dislike the z, I think they look sharp, just not the attitude of most owners. Don't come to a camaro site and talk ****. I don't go over there and there is someone on every site faster than you I get that, you need to. I wouldn't even go to a fiat site and talk trash bc no matter how fast you are there is always someone faster. I just prefer to spend less money to reach the same goal. Plus I like the classic look. Doesn't mean you or I am wrong. I get what you are doing though, try to get someone to talk smack, then put up a dyno vid. Next time a vid of a pass would be better. Power means nothing if you can't get it down or you can't drive.

that's with terrible driving, so I guess im the first bone stock 350 you've seen hit 9s 1/8. I'm not talking ****, I just know about cars and what can do what stock vs stock. 350z's are overrated? Lol, nobody thinks theyre fast... the 07-08 350z are underrated if anything, cause everyone thinks they're all the same.
Which is the topic here, what's faster stock for stock? an ls1 with NOTHING done, coming down to deleting stuff off the exhaust, would be an absolutely great race with a stock 350z.
350s have no aftermarket play that gain good power, so I have to agree with you, that any kind of modified ls1 would probably destroy a full bolt on 350z, even 07-08.
anyone can go out and buy an ls1 camaro for $8k and slaughter all 350zs with 1 bolton, not everyone has gone out and bought a 350z to beat modded ls1s, ls2's, tt bmws, etc etc... which is basically what my goal.

Here's you a vid of an ACTUAL bad pass, you can see that I got on it backed off back on (front up, drop a little, back up) you can also tell I didn't floor it till right before second (damn street tires) and I ran 100 mph in second gear. Trapped 92.8 and didn't let off till 100 about 30' past line. That's second gear I got another. Only ran a 7.65. I honestly don't think you have a clue what you're stepping into.

You guys realize you are arguing over a post that was asked over a year ago? This isn't a forum for arguing over bench racing.
The 350z is fast. A LT1/LS1 Camaro is fast. Everything is good on paper but the real world is different. If you really want to know who'd win, not who you'd think would win, check YouTube. There are plenty of vids of different year 350z's taking on LT1 and LS1 Camaros.

Thanks, yea I realize it's old. I was not arguing just stating what I see. I go to track almost every weekend. I don't use you tube to assess performance it would be inaccurate. Just because I say stock don't mean it is. I clearly stated my point to my post, it was in response to a post directed straight at me. I don't disrespect people by ignoring inaccurate information. I'm just sick and tired of those types, not necessarily him he was cool, running their mouth. I never said they are horrible cars, only that stock for stock I have not seen one in Ls territory. He stated he knew a lot about cars, but other statements didnt equate to that statement. Generally a faster car stock will be faster upgrade to upgrade. The point here is that a z is not a better platform as previously stated. I have seen tt z's run good, but damn look at what you got to throw at it. I even extended an invite to back up his statement that he wanted to outrun modded lsx by trying me first. I don't make statements I can't come close to achieving, others shouldn't either. I was trying to help him out, I remember when I was a kid how I thought every upgrade would get me another second, that's not reality especially on a v6.
