i went to the drag strip thie weekend ran my 1987 2.8 camaro it ran a 17.78 at 74.25 mph there were like 200 cars and only 5 that i could beet it was alot of fun it was my first time running didnt red light at all so that was cool need to build my other car now so i can put up more of a fight and help us camaros out more next time

 

AHHHHH the v6 makes us look bad

 

The V6 in the older 'stangs also makes us look bad. The new ones are pretty quick though

 

ya it is slow but i still like it because it is a camaro if it was a 3.8 it would be more respectable

i beg to differ my 3.8 is pretty respectable at our track only been beatin by 1 mustang gt. Its pretty quick i dont know what im runnin only took it once. But im gettin up there i hang with my cussins z and my friends z untill we get to about 80 but tahts cause of my transmission. Im nearly at 300hp in my v6. duno wat mods my step dad did but he did some chips n stuff n a dual cold air intake. So if u do it right the 3.8 can be a tough v6. This is just my everyday car. The real car is my 68 GTO with the 455 judge motor in it. Thats y i didnt want a z id like bein the underdog. U get more respect when u have a v6 hangin with the v8s. And specially when u beat the gt stangs. So the V6's arent all that bad.

 

EH, well my friend has an 03 gt with exauhst and intake, And there is a 98 Camaro V6 Here in Venice with a Intake and Chip, And the GT smoked him VERY bad, There is also a V6 Supercharged mustang here to that he raced in his GT, Poor V6 Stang waisted that money on that supercharger =)

 

ya i agree there a 350 would be alot better alot more fun

 

a 350 would be good, but i respect a person when they can keep up with an 8
