Default Turned Crank

1998 Camaro with 3800 V6
I just bought an autozone turned crank kit with matching main bearing as well as matching rod bearings. Crank was 10/10 or better. The first thing did was checked the crank main journals and the rod journals to make sure they where same in size. Every thing checked out great. After putting the crank in and torquing the mains down, I could turn the crank normally.Started to proceed with putting the rods on and with each one I put in and torqued I would make sure the crank would still turn. Well I got to one cylinder and then, the crank would not turn. I checked the torque again started with 20 Ft pounds and then an additional 50 degrees for the final torque. Still had a problem with number five cylinder.
I've ran out of ideals, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
CPhillips

Was anything done to the rods? Why did you need a new crank. If one of your rods got teaked it could cause this. If something was done to the rod I would be worried they got the piston pins in right.

Check all crank & rod clearances with plastigage and have a machine shop resize the rods (all of them), especially if somewhere along the line a bearing was spun and damaged the crank and stretched the big end of a rod.
