Default Transmission Swap?

Hello all. I know this may sound dumb, but I currently have a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS with an automatic transmission. The car has below 80K miles and is perfectly fine. I was wondering, how much would it cost to switch from an automatic transmission to a manual transmission? And to get more technical, what exactly would I need to do and what parts would I need? Could anybody give me a break down on costs or whatnot? I would truly appreciate it!

well I'm swapping a T-56 into my second gen and I had all the parts from the 02 LS1 styled T-56. If you have a LS1 then you will need an T56 that was mated to an LS1 previously due to the fact that the input shaft of the LS1 T56 is 3/8's (.40) inch longer than the LT1 T56. For this swap you will need:

crossmember
torque arm bracket and torque arm
hydraulic master and reservoir
internal hydraulic slave and throwout bearing (might as well replace while it's apart)
pilot bearing
pedals
driveshaft
flywheel and clutch kit
an LS1/T56 stock bellhousing unless you want to go with a scattershield then I would recommend Quicktime Inc's. So far they're the best quality that I've seen around.
You can buy a cut section from an 98 - 02 Camaro for the shift tunnel from ebay for cheap to replace the area that you'll need to knock a hole in for the shifter.

I might be forgetting something but there are little odds and ends here and there. You'll need new transmission fluid and other little things.
