whats the best thermostat to get ? is it better to get a low degree or a high degree ?

without changing the chip a 180 deg one would be the best for all climates.

Agreed, a colder stat may add some power, but the fans will need to kick in just after it opens. Therefore, a low temp stat won't do much good unless you are cruising at highway speed or the PCM has been reprogrammed to start the fans at a lower temp.

If you have a Hypertech Programmer.. You can change the temp of your thermostat to 160 degrees.. Does this also tell the computer to kick on at that degree? I think it does.. Just curious.
