I have a 99 camaro 3800 stock. My mom has a bonneville supercharged with the same motor as the camaro I was wondering if it would be possible to take the supercharger off the bonneville and put it on the camaro. Do i need all new hardware or can i just use the things i need off the bonneville. any help would be great!!!

 

dose your mom know your taking stuff off her car lol j/k..i dont see how it wouldnt work..the only 2 diffrences is that the bonneville's motor is mounted sidewayz and its a pontiac motor.....

 

There are a lot of differences from both engines. One guy did finally do it and it didn't work so well. After lots of fab work and replacing about half the engine he finally got it in there and running. The car gained maybe 40 horses but for the cost and effort its no where close to be worth it. First off the supercharger will hardly clear the firewall, You must build a custom peace to fit in the middle of the TB and SC this is no easy task since it has to be built like a "U" You also have to cut and weld a custom mounting plate or weld it onto the back of the SC, You also must change out your heads with the heads on a FWD 3.8
