supercharged ls1

RE: supercharged ls1
I have a supercharged LS1 in my Corvette... Im running 8 PSI and have put on about 15000 HARD driving miles... Everything else other than the exhaust and PCM are stock, and a small shift kit in the tranny. If you put an LS1 in your Camaro, it will fit just fine, you wont need to do any custom fabing... You will need a new PCM, springs, rad, shroud, hood will work, but will be tight, Id do a bigger brake swap also, front and rear. Rear end will def need to be changed or beefed up... Tranny as well... Ive already blown my rear end twice, and tranny once... Ill see if I can get some pics up here... for you to see what ive done...

No, I pulled a few steps out of my answer... Itll fit in the engine bay no matter what... What I meant by no custom fabbing was cutting fenders and ****... But your absolutly correct, its not just bolt in... Engine mounts and brake booster locations, battery etc will all have to be changed...

RE: supercharged ls1
I don't see why you'd want to spend all the money supercharging it to only get 450-500 (i'm assuming you're wanting wheel horse power not flywheel) when you can easily do that on the cheap with N/A. My advice go pick up may's Super Chevy (I think it's May's red 69'Camaro on the cover?) they have like 10 pageson LS1/LS2 engine buildsspecificly for 400, 500, 600, and 700 hp. I think you'd be suprised what kind of power difference a mild cam, heads, intake, throttle body and exhaust will make over stock. V-8s arn't like small jap motors wherea cam, heads, intake and exhaust only get you 30hp nope with American V-8s 100hp is easy especially with the tecnology today.
