Slightly off topic to the norm Camaro related questions. However, i have a BMW E34 525 which im currently using as a track toy which at the moment has the stock M50B25 engine.

My task is to swap the crank, rods and pistons from an M54B30 engine (3.0ltr) and stick them into the M50 engine which will push it to a 3ltr stroker and should put out around 230-240bhp with stock cams.

The question i have is i have never attempted anything as like this before and wasnt too sure what would be involved in timing it all up? Assuming i have locked the cams is it just a case of settin the pistons to TDC and the job is done?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is a guy named Mike D on www.fordbastards.org that is a big bimmer modder and might be able to help!
I know hes made a supercharged and turbo setup at the same time on a m3 motor!
