lt1 cam problems

Default lt1 cam problems

i got and new hott cam 1.6 rollers valvesping and car wont stay running and no shift out of first and a little grinding in engine be fore i got it towed 97 5.7.auto

did you measure the pushrod length? new lifters? did you check that the valve springswere correctly seated?

did you take the rocker covers off yet to see if something was messed up in there?

Buddy of mine put a hot cam into his 96' SS, had same problem with it running, ended up having to get a new computer to work with that cam. Though the grinding isn't a good sign....good luck.
