Low compression
it depends on why the compression is low. bad rings ... leaky head gasket ... unseated valves ... wore out cylinders. you can remove the plug and pour a little oil down in the cylinder. then check the compression again. if it helps that will rule out a leaky head gasket and unseated valves. which would leave you with bad rings or wore out cylinders which means the bottom end needs rebuilding. if the oil doesn't help that usually means bad gasket or valves which then your top end needs attention. Sick
Worst comes to worst, your motor siezes up. If the piston rings or cylinder walls are worn out there is a lot of blow by and the air fuel mixture leaks into your crankcase diluting your oil and eventually breaking it down and losing it's lubrication. If it's a bad head gasket, coolant can leak into the cylinder causing bent valves or hydrolock. Usually if it is a bad seating valve, there is some somke in the exhaust.
