I went and got new spark plugs and wires so i could get the car running smoothly. Now when I touch either the Number Five wire on the Distributer cap or the number seven wire the car shuts off. I lightly put pressure on either one. I tried to do the same thing on all the other wires same angle same pressure and the car runs fine.. What could be the cause of the car shutting off.. Could this be why the car also sounds like it chokes little when I press the accelerator? ill try to write how it sounds wehn I press the accelerator... WHirr WHirr, and I think its just supposed to go WHirrrr.... and back down to idle

Telling us what car you working with may help. But I would guess bad wires or connectors, or eitherbad or improperly installed distributor cap or rotor. Also make sure the wires are routed properly so that they don't induce cross fires.
