Default Good or Bad - Clevite Cams

while hunting for parts on the web . went back to CNC Motorsports looking for a cam.
found Clevite Performance cams and lifters. Their pricesare really low but arethe cams any good? well I asked them??? I was told that Clevite made cam cores for most of the big name cam companies? if this is true and since Clevite is big name auto parts supplier. would it not hold true that their cams and lifterswould betop shelf?
Point is their .480"int. .480"exh. camis priced at $59.00 add another $ 76.00 for their proformance lifters . So for $ 135.00 just how good are these cam & lifter kits
(lobe centerline is 109 --intake &exh duration @.050" is 230, SAE int & exh duration is 287)

The parts are perfectly fine. Most cams are made by just a few grinders anyway.

Ask them how much would a .550/.550 or higher cam would be. It could be that no one who gets a cam for a 4th gen would ever get a .480/.480 cuz its waaaay to small. So even giving it away for free probably won't help.

But when your talking about a 228/228 cam with .550 or higher lift for an LS1, then it would be highway robbery if you could get it for $200!! Patriot cams are probably the most inexpensive on the market, and even at that their 230/232 .580/.580 cam is like $250 and that's cheap!!

I really would be scared to get a new $100 cam,cuz you know what they say: "if its to good to be true"............
