i have a 96, 3.8 and i was wondering what it this best V8 engine for the money to put in it.

 

The esiest thing would be to trade for a car with a V8, the next easist would be an LT1 and all the electronics from a 96 Z28. A 96 z28 donor car would make life easier.

 

The easiet way to go is just to put a like a 350 in it, usually the the frame is already drilled and all you have to do is reposition the mounts, just line it up when you are about to put the new motor in, instead of buying a new car, thats probably the easiest way to go, if I were you, I wouldn't buy an lt1 because they can be pretty expensive to fix, just rely on the old classic small block chevy.
