Engine cuts out when stopped?
hi guys, im looking to buy my first camaro and i found one, descent cond, some interior work needed, but one thing is wrong. heres the specs
-1992 Camaro RS 25th anniversary
-originally TBI, now TPI
-305 V8 w/ 5 speed man.
okay, everything else is ok, except the owner says the car will cut out when stopped at light/stop sign.
also when i started the car, the engine must be kept above say 1000 rpms or will cut off, for around 60 seconds or so.
does anyone know what could be wrong? i found these possible problems..
-vacuum leak (prob cause?)
-bad seal on fuel injectors(owners idea)
-leak in fuel line(owners idea)
-bad IAC or some sensor
the owner doesnt know as much as he could, and he just bought the car to resell. please help, its my first camaro and if i can fix it relatively cheap >300ish, im gonna buy it no prob, but if its an expensive fix, ill leave it. thanks for the help!

Is the guy selling it from this forum? Man, but that sounds familiar! Obviously the easiest fix would be to not stop the car.
How is the oil pressure? The pressure switch is what keeps the fuel pump going when the engine is running.
Also, the fuel pump for a TBI system has a lower pressure output than one for TPI. Did the guy upgrade the pump to a higher pressure one?
