Default Electric fuel pump

I recently purchased an external electric fuel pump for my 68. Has any one installed one on their car? Where is the best place to mount them? Any help would be great.

Thanks

As close to the tank as possible, since it's better for the pump to push the gas than pull it. It would also be a good idea to install a fuel pressure regulator under the hood somewhere before the carb, with a return line to the tank. Not only will a regulator prevent a carb. overflow if the pump is putting out a little too much, but the return will help to make your pump live longer.
Just curious, why the electric pump anyway?
