Solved the problem. It was a combination of the squirter nozzle and it not seated properly. So each shot was a super heavy shot of gas as it came out the nozzle's squirters and the base. Somehow that little metallic ring gasket got bent (???) and it didn't seat right. Traded out the nozzle for two sizes smaller and a new gasket it it's right as rain.

 

Try this guy www.bob2000.com. I was really lost until I read this guys site. It helped. He explains how to make an A/F gauge from an o2 senser and a volt meter. Its very detailed on how to figure out exacly where on the carb you should be tuning. I went as far as to print it, then laminate it, and put it in a binder in my tool box. Best of all its FREE.

 

Yeah, I've got his pages printed and in a binder labeled, "tuning" here at the house. One of the first places I learned to tune from a couple of years ago.
