Just curious as to what all the benefits would be if I were to build the current 350 I have up to a 383 stroker. I know about the increase in horse power, and I've heard rumors that it could help improve gas mileage (is this true?) I'd just like to hear if there are anymore things that a 383 would have a positive effect on. Thanks in advance for any responses.

More horsepower + heavy foot = better mpg ????
Must be the NEW math, I don't understand it.
In my opinion, I doubt the mileage would be better, unless you totally set the car up for mpg. But then you would give up some performance, no fun! The major improvement is the torque, even without going overboard on your rebuild you will get excellent torque from a stroker. It is not an easy build though for someone with limited resources or experience.

Lol,gotta agree with that.....bigger motor doesn't equal better mpg.
There are ways to get better mpg and the torque could help some but a 350 has plenty of torque already and less CID to feed.
