put a 700R4 in a 68 chevy pickup. neve got it to shift out of 1st gear . can anyone tell me what might cause this and how to remedy it. lockup torque converter aswell. thanks

 

For your shift problem, first make sure your TV cable is operating properly. Otherwise, your governor could be goofed up.

Converter lockup (if you want it to) can be done with a manual switch, or with an aftermarket lockup kit. summitracing.com carries it.
