What is the reason for asking about 3.4 to 3400 engine swap?? They are the same engine except for minor differences. GM has been using that engine for 20 + years and there is no advantage to it.[sm=chairshot.gif]

Default RE: 3400 swap

The 3400 has much better heads with canted valves, better manifold, uses roller lifters and roller rockersallowing the use of amore aggressive camshaft. The 3.4 used in the Camaro has a goofy oiling systemwhich does not allow theuse roller lifters, but can take the 3400 heads and intake. The 3400 block does not fit in the Camaro because it is built for front drive cars.
