I have always used the duragloss aluminum rim cleaner. they have one for a semi gloss rim and one that is polished. It is actually acidic, but won't streak aluminum rims. its nice because you just spray it on then rinse it off with a hose and it takes 90% of it off. Then to get the stuff that has been stuck on there for years I took a plastic brush to and it took care of it. Great stuff

Depending on the wheels I usually use steel wool to clean the wheels if they are really bad.

I have gone as far as to repaint the ET Mags on my Camaro, once they got bad enough. Not from dirt, but from all the cleaning..Heh.

I also have a Jeep Rubicon that I bought and it had Mickey Thomson wheels that were in pretty bad shape. Looked like a lot of salt water.

I never had wheels that new that looked so bad. So I decided to just take them and get them powder coated.

No more polishing, just spray and wipe them clean!

I have had a few customers come in and tell me how great Black Magic works for your tires. Saying it makes them look wet, but doesn't collect dirt and turn your tires brown like other tires.
