I've never had much luck with the spray paint clear coats...But if you decide to use it make sure you spray really light coats and give it plenty of time in between coats to dry.I think if you leave the lip silver it would look better than painting the whole rim. And if you take em off the car all you'll have to mask off is the tire... and well, I would mask the valve stem too, that way they dont "look" spray painted.

Why not just have them black powder coated? There is ashop that will do it for $40 a rim here where I'm at. It will look better and last way longer. Maybe you can find a shop in your location.

I taped off the lip and tires, sanded them, prmied them, sprayed them with black caliper paint, and clear coated them. Put them on and like 6 months down the road they still look amazing, for about 30 bux. Don't powdercoat stock rims, it's not worth it, you can almost buy new ones for that.

Hey man I had mine up on blocks yesterday.. fit right in with the white trash crowd, lol... actually I just pulled the front tires up on a couple bricks so I could get under it to change the oil... But I made sure I called my girlfriend and told her my camaro was up on blocks in the front yard (with a slow southern drawl of course).. HaHa
