does a 86 have a computer

Question does a 86 have a computer

i was told the camaro i bought doesnt have a computer but its fuel injected (i think) so wouldnt it have one? Also if so how long does it last... i mean i know that they can go out but how long does it usually take.

Yesyou have a ECM (Engine Control Module). About the lifetime of the car unless you fry it with a electrical surge or get it wet.

All GM fuel injection system in the 80's up have a ECM. I have replaced ECMs on brand new cars and I have seen original ECMs in 82's with 200K on them. Its like a asking how long a TV with last. Some dont even make it out of warranty and some will work flawlessly for 20 year.
